You just have to be fit. They develop at altitudes that can reach almost 3,000 m in altitude, mid-mountain and high-mountain territories, subject to severe and changing weather conditions. Keep these basic safety tips in mind:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Find out the weather conditions before leaving. Prepare itineraries with maps or guiding books and bring them always with you.<\/li>\n<li>If possible, use enhanced guidance and location systems (compass, altimeter, GPS &#8230;).<\/li>\n<li>Be aware of your physical condition and act accordingly.<\/li>\n<li>Make estimates of the water and food needed.<\/li>\n<li>The mountain is an experience to be shared. Try to enjoy it in company.<\/li>\n<li>You have to be at the accommodation before 18.00h so we recommend to start walking early every day. Moreover, around midday and evening fogs and storms are frequent.<\/li>\n<li>At the beginning of the summer there are still glaciers, it is strongly recommended to bring sticks and crampons in the pack.<\/li>\n<li>Keep in mind that for much of the route there will be no mobile phone coverage, to call, or to download online cartography. The weather may change within hours.<\/li>\n<li>Always carry warm clothing for the body, head and hands, even at midsummer.<\/li>\n<li>Cover your head with a visor or wide-brimmed hat to avoid sunstroke.<\/li>\n<li>Put on high protection sunscreen 30 minutes before sun exposure.<\/li>\n<li>Minimise the weight, you will walk much better. A sheet \u2013 sleeping-bag can be enough because the lodgements have blankets for everyone. And if you book the picnics you will only carry the daily packed lunch.<\/li>\n<li>With the final booking document, we will hand you in a list with the recommended material to hike in Pyrenees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Remember the emergency telephone number: 112.
